Malcom X in â€Å"Learning to Read† and Richard Wright in â€Å"The library Card† had none of these blessings. In spite of having great disadvantages both Malcom X and Wright became educated. Even though their journey to literacy have some significant differences, the resemblance are evident Malcom X and Richard Wright were incredibly resourceful and extremely self-motivated during their path towards literacy. Both of these men learned to write and read mostly on their own, and along the way, became visionary thinkers with great influence on others. Malcom X entered prison with an eighth grade education. His motivation towards enlightenment came from a fellow inmate â€Å"Bimbi first made me feel envy of his stock of knowledge. Bimbi had always taken charge of any conversation he was in, and I had tried to emulate him†(Malcom X.52). Along the way Malcom X got a hold of a dictiona ry which he thoroughly studied and eventually copied the whole book word by word! Legitimacy and the Foundations of Legitimate Government In this paper, it is my intention to discuss the issue of legitimacy as it relates to government. I will explore what a legitimate government necessarily consists of; that is, I will attempt to formulate a number of conditions a government must meet in order to be considered legitimate. A logical starting point in an investigation of legitimate government would seem to be an account of the original purpose of government. Problems arise, though, in discovering this original purpose; any and all attempts seem to consist of mere speculation. The second option the political theorist has is to accept that any attempt to give a foundational theory of legitimate government will depend partly upon speculation. What I mean by this is that the theorist must try to mirror reality as closely as possible, only filling in those areas which need filling. In addition, the theorist has an obligation to make clear which parts are empirical and which parts are speculative. On the speculative side, most theories of legitimacy will include both an account of human nature and the origins of government. These accounts are not to be taken as literal histories, or even historical theories. Speculative accounts should be taken at face value and appreciated for what they are: useful thought experiments. They may be programmed to love a human being but the instinctive feeling of affection of person for another person would be lost forever. In addition tom this it is impossible for a machine to reproduce without the engagement of two natural human beings. This would be very unethical and also raises various other non-ethical issues. The main ethical issue is the disengagement among the human beings and the concept of loving a material that would not love the human back. There would be a high level of inefficiency in this sector of the technology and even if there are methods introduced for the solution to this issue it is thought that the child that would be reproduced would be lagging the characteristics of a naturally born child. The Virtue Ethics Theory The virtue ethics theory are related with the characters of person and has the involvement of the ethical thinking in them. According to the virtue theory a person who is virtuous would be following the virtues at the workplace efficiently. But in the present scenario the robots would not have any sense of virtue that would be acquired by them (Hursthouse, 2013).
